The essence of Bhagavad Gita - Part 9

[A freelance translation of these 108 stanzas from the Dnyaneshwari. The original composition is based on a specific meter which follows a fixed pattern of four semi-sentences. A similar pattern is followed in the translated version as well.]

The mysterious path of Siddha Yoga (Kundalini/ Shaktipat yoga)

(91)
Powerful senses gel with the mind
Mind when focused gets lost into space
Space merges in the sky as sky itself
The sky disappears in the celestial consciousness

(92)
(For a Sahaj Yogi) god knows how
But such a process takes place unknowingly
The Samadhi itself will search for him
Accept this as a fact with firm conviction

(93)
By discarding selfish desires, resentments and passions
One who stands firm among the 'upadhis' (mental impositions)
Ultimately crosses all barriers and attains liberation
He then enjoys the bliss of merging in the Self every day

(94)
O Pandava, an individual reaches such a mysterious place
With aid of the Mantra ‘AUM TAT SAT’
That the entire gamut of the cosmos
Gets revealed with incomparable illumination (enlightenment)

(95)
Like a wave merging in the ocean
Or a dewdrop on the lotus leaf falling in a pond
Surrender yourself unconditionally
With an absolute faith in me

(96)
By merging in the real Self
Get rid of the heaven, the hell and the wheel of life
With a firm conviction “I’m that”
Dissolve your ego in my celestial consciousness

Worshipping me by merging in me
Is a state of total surrender
In principle it is nothing else but pure devotion
It obviously has no element of adultery in it

Bhagavad Gita as a mother for the spiritual seekers

(97)
In this way, one who worships me with a pure mind
One who has a pious attitude and one who is not condemnatory
One who is walking the path with unwavering faith
Go ahead and preach this mystery to him joyously

(98)
No one other than you
Exhibits all these qualities
See that is why I have preached you
(Spiritual) knowledge as well as (corporal) science

(99)
Apart from the mother
There is no life for an infant
One promptly makes an arrangement
For a lost child to meet the mother

(100)
In a similar fashion, one who reveals
This grand mystery (my message) to my devotees
There is no doubt that
He gets hold of Me by the merit of devotion
